Non-Selective Admission Test for EU Citizens

The Bachelor's Degree in Physics does not have a limit on the number of EU-students who can enroll. Nonetheless it is required to take a non-selective access test according to the procedures indicated on the CISIA website (test TOLC-S o TOLC-B, for Science or Biology). 

Once enrolled, the result of the test (TOLC-S or TOLC-B) has to be sent via email to

The students, who in the math part of the TOLC test have taken a grade lower than 8/20, are invited to take a mathematics precourse. Each year the Department of Physics organizes several TOLC tests. 

The test can be taken in any institution where it is available, taking into account the CISIA calendar. In 2022 the tests managed by the Department of Physics will take place in the TOLC @ CASA mode. Please, refer to the CISIA website for further details, including those concerning the application to taking the test.

Selective Access Test for non EU Citizens

To enroll in the Bachelor's programme, it is required to take an admission test (either TOLC-S or TOLC-B in the mode TOLC @ CASA) which is administered by the Department of Physics. One can register directly on the CISIA website selecting a test which takes place at the Department of Physics of the University of Pavia. The enrollment of non-EU citizens in limited to 5 students, selected on a "first-come-first served" basis.

Schedule of the Test TOLC in 2022

During 2022 the TOLC tests will take place according to the following schedule:  

  • TOLC-B: April, 1 at 2:30pm
  • TOLC-B: April, 13, at 2:30pm
  • TOLC-S: July, 21 at 9am
  • TOLC-S: September, 2 at 9am
